A printable one-page decision tree for school-based OTs. No new framework to learn. No 40-page manual. Just what to try next.
✦ Starts with the question a teacher actually asks, not a diagnosis.
✦ Every branch grounded in current research, not habit.
✦ Print it, laminate it, keep it in your therapy bag.
Short, practical, and built for a caseload. Here's what to expect.
One clinical question a week, mapped step by step. Different situation each time, always one page.
The evidence behind the tree, in plain language. Research-backed, not just opinion.
Every issue ends with one question about your caseload. Hit reply. I read and answer every response.
✦ Your caseload is full, your eval reports are due, and every 'helpful' resource is a 40-page PDF you'll never open again.
✦ You've collected courses and printables, but most of them don't survive contact with an actual school day.
✦ You'd rather have one page that tells you what to try next than another framework to memorize.
Dr. Aditi Mehra is a pediatric occupational therapist, educator, and continuing education presenter with more than 25 years of experience. She currently practices as a school-based occupational therapist and teaches occupational therapy at the university level.
Through Dr. Aditi the OT, she creates practical, evidence-informed resources to help school-based OTs navigate the real-world decisions that come with working in schools—from handwriting and RTI/MTSS to service delivery, documentation, collaboration, and clinical reasoning.
Her goal is to make school-based practice feel more manageable by turning complex OT concepts into practical tools therapists can use right away.
One page. One clear next step. Start this week.
