A one-page guide teachers can use in the classroom when a student's pencil grasp is getting in the way of their writing. Simple steps, no OT jargon, ready to print.
✦ Hand it to the teacher instead of explaining it three times.
✦ Trial a grasp change and watch what happens to comfort, control, endurance, and output.
✦ Function always wins over appearance.
Short, practical, and built for a caseload. Here's what to expect.
One clinical question a week, mapped step by step. Different situation each time, always one page.
The evidence behind the tree, in plain language. Research-backed, not just opinion.
Every issue ends with one question about your caseload. Hit reply. I read and answer every response.
✦ Your caseload is full, your eval reports are due, and every 'helpful' resource is a 40-page PDF you'll never open again.
✦ You've collected courses and printables, but most of them don't survive contact with an actual school day.
✦ You'd rather have one page that tells you what to try next than another framework to memorize.
I’m Dr. Aditi Mehra, a pediatric occupational therapist with 25+ years of experience. Much of my career has been spent working with students from early childhood through middle school. I’ve also worked in early intervention, rehabilitation, hand therapy, and other pediatric settings.
In addition to clinical practice, I have taught as an adjunct professor and continuing education presenter, where I enjoy helping other occupational therapists translate research and clinical reasoning into practical strategies they can use every day.
One page. One clear next step. Start this week.
